Kick Cancer's Butt for Linda

Donation protected
Adam and Minyi here. Some of you know us as Norman's dad and Thor's Mom. Youu may have seen us around the Shipyard and in Hoboken with our pups. Like you - we're both dedicated parents of our dogs and would give the world to make sure that our pups have the best life there is. That's why we send our dogs to K9Nanni - whether its walks, daycare, training, pet sitting, or boarding - we trust Linda and Tashon and the rest of the K9Nanni crew with Norman and Thor.

Which is also why we're reaching out today in loving partnership with Linda and the rest of the K9Nanni crew. As you know Linda started K9Nanni where she and her team worked tirelessly to create a space where animals can feel at home - a pet utopia if you will. As anyone who has opened a small business knows, the first year can be quite difficult, and for K9nanni, that held true. Unfortunately, to add to an already difficult year, during the summer of 2014, Linda was diagnosed with cancer. In the middle of all the normal stress that comes with opening a new business - Linda has been dealing with her cancer diagnosis.

Over the remainder of 2014 - Linda underwent many different tests/procedures and one very invasive surgery to tackle the cancer. All of the K9Nanni staff stepped up to help - but it was and continues to be a difficult time. Because Linda is a small business owner - she cannot rely on benefits like disability or unemployment while she is unable to work. Furthermore, while dealing with the mounting bills - she has to figure out how to pay for simple things like buying the right food to ensure her health between any procedures.

As a trooper and truly dedicated dog lover and caretaker - Linda's biggest priority was to never let up on our dogs and hers (including her fosters). While her health is definitely a priority - she made sure that the dogs were well taken care of.

What we are asking is for people who know and love Linda, or who have heard her story, to pitch in, and help her be able to pay routine things like rent, electricity and food while she is still battling cancer. Her monthly bills add up to around $4,000 a month which is a lot! Even the nutrition drinks she needs to stay on during this time easily cost up to $100 a pack.

No amount is too small and every penny will go directly to help Linda pay her bills. Nothing else. Adam and I just want to rally everyone together to help Linda get back on her feet and prepared for her next surgery which is in March. We think that helping her to get caught up and covered while she cannot work would be a huge weight off of her shoulders, which she so needs right now. We wouldn't want K9Nanni to have to go away because of this - Linda has worked so hard to build her business and keep it running while she's been out.

If you know Linda, you that her allowing us to put this on the internet was not an easy decision for her. But she has learned through this whole ordeal that something you just have to ask for help and this is really one of those moments.

We are so appreciative of your time to read through all this. Please do join us in this effort to help Linda out. To make things easy and efficient - we've created a GoFundMe link to where all the donations can be made directly to Linda. If you know of any other kind hearted folks that love your dogs and would be willing to help us - please feel free to share the link.

We will be posting regular updates on how the donations have helped Linda and her progress through the next few months.
