Hi! Thank you so much for taking the time to click on my story! I'm going to do my best to tell you a little bit about myself. Although my story may sound like others, it's actually quite different than most! I appreciate your consideration in donating to help me chase my Olympic Dream! This is where my journey begins...
My name is Lilly Hudson and I'm a 13 year old USA Junior International Elite gymnast at Florida Elite Gymnastics in St. Augustine, Florida. I am very fortunate to be coached by both Valentin Buse and Mila Marinova. Without them, I would not have this journey to tell you about! In addition to my gymnastics, I'm an eighth grade honor student at Clay Virtual Academy. I've been able to maintain straight A's while training 35 hours per week.
Most of you reading this probably know me! You know that for the past eight years I've been chasing my dream of competing in the 2020 Olympics one day. For those of you who don't know me, I do gymnastics because I love it! I have always loved it and I have never given up on my dream. I have truly been blessed by all who have been a part of my journey. Each coach that I have had over the years has played an important role in my gymnastics career. Even if the opportunity of "elite" gymnastics wasn't available, I wouldn't be where I am today without those experiences. In keeping the faith that an elite training opportunity would present itself locally, VEGA Gymnastics opened its doors in early 2013. VEGA offered something unique to the Jacksonville area, a true elite program. After three successful years, some new and exciting things are happening for our gym. As of August 15, 2016, we are now Florida Elite Gymnastics and offering the only elite program in Northeast Florida. We are so grateful as God has continued to bless us! The future looks very bright!
This year has been an exciting year for me! During the 2016 season, I qualified as a USA Junior International Elite by earning the junior elite qualifiying score at a National Qualifier in Las Vegas, NV. This then qualified me to compete at the 2016 American Classic and US Secret Classic this past summer. At the 2016 US Secret Classic in Hartford, CT, I scored an all around score of 52.55 which made me eligible to compete at the 2016 P&G Championships in St. Louis,Missouri in late June. As championships, I placed 19th All Around in the country amongst the top junior elite atheltes in the country. Currently, I am the only Junior International Elite in the State of Florida. This achievement has always been a major goal of mine. For almost two years, I have been on the USA Developmental Team. My goal for the 2016-2017 season is to be invited to National Team camp, directed by the Valeri Liukin the National Team Coordinator for USA Gymnastics, and qualify for the USA National Team in 2017!
The National Team training camps are an invitational program for the top gymnasts in the country. With these opportunities though, come many added expenses. Each of the six camps will cost my family approximately $2,000 each which will cover travel, fees and coaches expenses. The total for the 6 camps will be over $12,000 per year. On top of the camp expenses, I will still need to compete in Elite Competitions throughout the year. These competitions also have additional fees, travel and coaches expenses, etc. in excess of another $8,000. Moving forward, the expenses will only go up from here. Now more than ever, my family and I must fundraise enough money to help with these expenses.

I promise to work as hard as I can and to never give up. I do believe that God has a plan for me. He has given me this talent and has provided for me and my family in so many ways.
