1100 kms in 10 days

Donation protected
I will be trying to ride 1081 km in 10 days or Less.(the equivelent from my Home to my Home town) and then the day after the world's biggest Half Marathon, The Great North Run.
Through Work commitments I cannot ride the actual Route, but will be riding the Kms after Work everyday after work and showing a Virtual Map of my Progress.

WHY..

1. I always try and help people worse off than me, and with Lee only having the use of one arm and one leg and his wife being Blind it doesn't get much worse.

2.  A long time ago I went to school with this one guy. Left school and went our different ways. A long time after, we met again on FB.
At one particular School Reunion in 2012. While having a beer one mate says “gis a hand” I thought he needed help carrying the beers. Nope wrong, in comes a wheelchair with Lee in it! No stairs in the Bar so we had to carry him down the stairs. After a couple of Beers Steve says I would love to be able to build him a really good chair.. This sentence has stayed with me since.

After lots of Personal Health issues myself, Bone marrow transplants, Depression and the normal ups and downs over the years, I am now in a good place and enjoying life. So I decided to use 2019-20 to do something for a good cause and try to raise some money and give something back to the Community I grew up in.

Thousands of Charitys out there, all doing a good deed for people that need help. But i have decided to try and give something back to my Hometown Community and to one Special person .

This is how I came to find that 1 Person...

One morning looking through FB, up pops this Madman in a Wheelchair doing training for the Great North Run, the biggest half Marathon finishing in my Home town South Shields. Yep you guessed it , Lee! doing it for a Charity close to his Heart. Amazing bloke. Doing a half marathon is hard enough but in a Wheelchair, with the use of 1 Arm and 1 Leg and not being in the best of Health himself, I think you will all agree Amazing...

I decided although every Charity is important, I want to do it for Lee..
I have recently found out that Lee will be needing a Joysick mobility Scooter after his next Operation.
So the reason for this Fundraiser is, getting the Money together for the Scooter and maybes more..

The aim is to Present him with the Scooter when he finishes the GNR.

The aim is to get 3000 pounds needed for Lee and every pound here after will be going to the Chloe and Liam Trust.

The Chloe and Liam Trust, well known to us all, also doing a brilliant job in the Community.

I will be Posting the Training ups and downs and a “Fundraiser” page soon. Please feel free to sponsor ..

Cheers
Steve
