Help While Healing for Leslie Carey

After bravely battling breast cancer with months of chemotherapy followed by surgery, Leslie thought the worst was behind her...only to learn that more challenging medical battles lie ahead. Within the next couple of weeks Leslie will undergo the first of two major surgeries -- the second to follow 2-4 weeks after that. Each surgery will require extensive recovery time during which she will be unable to work. As an independent piano teacher, Leslie relies on lessons to pay her bills. She does not have disability insurance to carry her through and her savings for a rainy day have dried up.
In her years as a teacher and performer, Leslie has shared the gift of music with hundreds of students, a gift to last the rest of their lives. Some have gone on to study music in college, others at prestigious conservatories. She has touched and given of herself to countless people, many of whom are now friends asking, "What can I do? How can I help?"
