Could you donate your usual socialising funds to help friends, neighbours and whole communities across Leicester, leicestershire and Rutland in need of mental health support?
There has never been a more crucial time for mental health.
The current crisis has seen Lamp having to rapidly adapt its services to be continue to be a lifeline for the thousands of mental health sufferers across the city and county of Leicester.
Calls have surged and our advocates are dealing with some of the most complex cases they have ever seen.
Funders are delaying decisions on payouts and our calendar of events has been cancelled.
Would you please consider donating your socialising funds to help a friend, neighbour and communities right across Leicester who are suffering?
A few coffees =
£10 Funds half an hour of Professional Mental Health Support for someone in need
A nice bottle of wine =
£20 funds 1 hour of specialist mental health support via phone or online and will support 2 people in need right now
A meal with a friend =
£60 funds 3 hours of specialist mental health support via phone or online and would support up to 7 people in need right now
A big night out =
£100 Funds 5 hours of specialist mental health support and could support up to 12 people in need.
A weekend away =
£450 Will fund a full time specialist mental health online service for one week and could help support 50 people in need.
Lamp now needs emergency donations in order to:
1) Fund the additional advocacy hours needed to meet demand
2) Train existing staff in the new areas they are now required to work due to complex cases
3) Invest in robust, up to date telephone and digital services
4) Recruit and train more volunteers
