Learn to Share School Fund 2017/18

After many years of planning and struggles, we are finally opening our Learn To Share Center in Siem Reap, Cambodia. We hope to empower local unprivileged Cambodian children to receive an education and break the poverty cycle they were born into. Not only will we guide the boys & girls through the primary school curriculum but we will also teach them English, all in a caring and joyful environment.
Because we believe that Sharing is the most important quality we can have as human beings, we will foster that among all the children we teach, so they too can help empower someone in need.
We have piloted the program in 2016, where we sent 12 local children to the Florida International School of Siem Reap. The progress we have seen from all these 12 children is mesmerizing. They all started towards the bottom of their class, having received minimal if any education prior to joining the school. By the third semester they were all in the top 10 of their classes. The additional activities which we provided at home and opportunities to interact in English with the foreign travelers of Travel To C, truly helped them progress throughout the year. The most beautiful of all is that many of these children would also share their newly acquired knowledge with other kids in their local community who were not as fortunate to attend school.
This year, we hope that you can continue to support us in sending the 10 Older Children, above 12 Years old, to school. We hope to also teach 20-25 children in our newly built classroom. For this we need your help to hire the necessary staff including and English and Khmer teacher as well as all school supplies for the children.
With $5,000 we will be able to keep sending the children to school and further triple our impact by teaching an additional 20-25 kids.
