What started off as a last minute effort to pay off some layaway accounts for needy families in 2013 has grow to a grassroots movement of volunteers and donors who change the lives of families during the holiday season across Middle Georgia. Last year Layaway Santa - Middle Georgia paid off 73 accounts, received more than 100 individual donations, partnered with 8 business, smoked 18 Boston Butts, baked more than a dozen Hummingbird cakes, and sponsored a bowling night. Across 4 Middle Georgia Stores we paid off $10,000 in layaway items, ranging from Star Wars Legos and footie pajamas to bicycles and trampolines.

Because of your support, the dedication of our team members, and the coverage by our local media, it will truly be a Merry Christmas for dozens of Middle Georgia families.
