The lawn care worker injured is Barthel; a very loving, kind hearted, unselfish husband, dad, son, granddad, brother and friend to many.
Barthel's greatest joy in life has been taking care of wife Rose, family, friends and church. Barthel now is struggling to take care of himself. Barthel never turned away a hungry mouth, a person in need or a shoulder to lean on. Barthel never thought the privilege to be there for many would be taken away.
Barthel suffered at the scene the amputation of his right leg, 3 broken areas in the left leg, 6 broken ribs and a damaged L7 in his spine. Barthel has had 4 surgeries to attempt to begin necessary repairs. Through it all Barthel has remained strong in his faith that God does not make mistakes and will continue to make a way.
This is why we, the family, are reaching out for your financial support. As a small lawn care business owner funds are limited for medical needs, household expenses and necessary personal care items.
