Lauren's Medical Trip to Houston

Lauren has been a ray of sunshine to our community and a great friend to all of us. Her smile and whit is infectous and she is the first to volunteer to help when someone is in need even if her need is greater! My name is Esther Morey and I am the director of Coda Mountain Academy, the organization Lauren serves in Fayette County, WV. She is providing free snacks and meals five days a week, helping to manage the Coda Inspire and Coda Community programs targeting at-risk youth and being a listening ear to many struggling souls. Last night she was carrying free coffee and newspapers to the parents waiting in their cars on their kids to finish their Coda classes! She just loves loving people!
Lauren is doing this through much pain, inflamation and physical fatigue in her body. She needs care beyond the scope of her current doctors, so we are working to get her to a wonderful integrative doctor in Houston, Texas who has helped me (Esther) significantly. Integrative Medicine physicians are medical doctors who are trained in both conventional and alternative therapies who value the principles of integrative medicine and will professionally guide patients through the various health care systems and treatment options. They are capable of evaluating, diagnosing and treating as medical doctors, but use natural and non-invasive alternatives whenever possible.
Whole Health Houston is insurance-free - so all procedures must be paid out of pocket. Lauren's finanical situation has been meager for quite some time. If she was paid fairly for the amount of hours she pours into this community freely - she would be one rich woman! But Lauren works whether she gets paid or not. Lets get her to Houston and get her some help.
The $2500 will cover her medical evaluation, needed tests, follow up consult, lodging and food. Someone else has already offered to pay her flight. She will be given sole access to this account for the above expenses.
Can you help us raise this money before we leave for Houston on December 8? I feel this is urgent. We need this fun and spunky lady sharing her love and care to this community for a long time.
