My name is Paula DiMeo-Stayne and im a mother of 7 children..on oct 27-2010 i received a knock on my door...i was notified that my sweet loving daughter had laid in front of a train and committed suicide..we were blindsided and never saw any signs..as none of us plan to bury our children we were left with a 14,000 bill that took quite some time to pay off...we live in northport long island ny..My mission has become suicide awareness, prevention etc..This fund will be used ,to help defray costs of parents who like us didnt have the money to bury our child...to help in other ways...send in a cleaning lady..food...etc..Laura was a special needs child who enjoyed going to a camp for children which special needs.We also send children to camp through these funds. a funny thing happened after my daughters death...through facebook, people started reaching out to me as they didnt know who to turn to..many of them i didnt know...i am able to provide them with free counseling services through a few organizations that work with me...so im asking to help me and continue helping me raise money for what i have stated above...I often feel as though i had to sacrifice my child to save others...Laura Lee Snyder...you will never be forgotten....you have made me a better person and it was an honor being your mother....as long as im living my baby youll be...
