Laura's Bucket List (brain cancer)

Laura Powell is a very special 14yr old girl from Doncaster, England. We first met Laura in February 2015 as our daughter Phoebe began cancer treatment at Sheffield Children's Hospital in England. Laura was fighting the same type of brain tumor as Phoebe, Medulloblastoma. On an unexpected journey of suffering and sickness, our families lives became woven together. We practically lived at the hospital together for most of the year. We had the same doctors, walked the same halls, felt the same pain and sorrow, cried the same tears, lived through some of the same joys and triumphs, ate the same awful hospital food and experienced many of the same side effects. Laura was a couple of months ahead of where Phoebe was in treatment. After treatment, both of our families have enjoyed living cancer free for 3 years.
As parents of children recovering from brain cancer, our greatest fear is that our children's cancer will one day return. Sadly, we have just learned that Laura's cancer has. Brain tumors are extremely aggressive and, in most cases, if the initial treatment fails, the options for successful alternatives are minimal. The Powells are having to re-live this pain all over again, this time with less hope than before. Laura will begin chemo next week in an effort to slow/stop the tumor growth, but surgery to remove the whole tumor is not an option as surgery will potentially cause damage to her speech and swallowing.
Laura enjoys traveling and has a bucket list of things she would love to do. Some of which are to travel to Disney World, swim with Dolphins, snorkel with fish, visit Harry Potter World, watch Tottenham Hotspurs play at their new stadium, go shopping in New York and make as many memories with her family as she can. We don't know the timing, but we do know that we need to raise money quickly before Laura is too unwell to travel.

1. Please pray for Laura and the Powells as they embark on this incredibly difficult journey. Pray for peace and comfort as they make impossibly tough decisions. Pray for supernatural healing for this delightful young lady, that treatment would be successful and she would defy the odds.
2. Please give generously to allow Laura and her family to travel soon and enjoy making many special memories together that will help carry them all forward.
