Lashane's Recovery Fund

This is the latest update on Lashane from her friend "Teach":
It's been 9 weeks since LaShane’s onset of Transverse Myelitis and although it has been a whirlwind of challenges and emotions I really have to give a shout out to my girl.

LaShane is such an active, outdoorsy person and always sets out to be the best in anything she does. To go from being the best in her industry, climbing mountains, hiking, white water rafting, bike riding, and our favorite walks on the beach to sudden paralysis and being wheelchair bound, that girl has not given up ONCE.

Her attitude is amazing. It really is. From being in Critical Care, to Acute Rehab and now home doing outpatient therapy she has rocked it all. She is in pain every single day and faces challenges all of us couldn’t even imagine, yet she doesn’t allow any of these setbacks to keep her from her end goal....To Walk Again!

I am truly proud of her and blessed to be her GF. I don’t know if I could have had the same strength as she has, but every day she teaches me what real strength is all about.

I mean this girl is doing laundry, mopping floors, vacuuming cars, and cleaning the bathroom all from her wheelchair. One of her big successes is beginning to use a walker to walk and climb up stairs. Therapy had her walk up 5 stairs and bam the next day she does 12 and now she’s climbing to the top and even made dinner one night.

These are some pics before she became sick and her true determination afterwards.

She is amazing and a true inspiration. I love you baby girl.
