Help Larry Darden Fight

Donation protected

A cancer diagnosis is not the end; it is the beginning. The beginning of a fight that is more important than any other fight.

Very recently, at the young age of 28 Larry learned he has Colon cancer.  His cancer will require extensive treatment.  Larry's recovery will take many months.  He will be unable to work in the foreseeable future.

Larry's doctor has not given him the greatest prognosis.  They have indicated Larry's time is limited.  Words like months and Stage IV have been used.  I choose to believe only the Great Healer can decide what the prognosis will be.

Larry's biggest dream in life has been to be a husband and a father.  Five year ago he married the love of his life, Amanda.  In April He and Amanda will welcome their first child.  They are beside themselves with joy over this precious baby boy.  Amanda will likely be unable to work after the birth as Larry and the baby will need her.

If you know Larry at all you know he is a fighter and Larry will fight... He will be fighting for his own life and his beautiful little family.  He is a determined man, an honorable man, a man who refuses to give up.  You may know, Larry served in the United States Air Force.  He was medically, honorably discharged.  Since his discharge, he has been receiving treatment from the VA.

This diagnosis has devastated this family, both emotionally and financially.  The reason for this page is to try to relieve some of the financial burdens he and Amanda face.  They are struggling.  They had a hard time selling their home in Arkansas(where they were stationed in the Air Force).  For many months, they made house payments and rent.  This depleted their savings.  Looking forward, it will be difficult for them to make ends meet.  The last thing they need is to have to worry about finances while facing surgery, treatments and their inability to hold a job.

If you are able to help financially, it will be so greatly appreciated.  Every little bit helps.  If you would prefer to share your resources outside of gofundme, checks can be sent to Larry Darden, in care of Tammy Herrin, 1448 Wade Brown Road, Lewisburg, TN  37091.

Your prayers are especially appreciated in the days and weeks to come.
