Memorial Fund

Many of you have heard the heartbreaking story of our dear sister and friend. After delivering her baby, she battled a very difficult series of medical problems for almost two months. Despite the best medical effort and care, she was not able to recover from the multi-organ failure that resulted. She has left us at a young age. Warm memories of her beautiful smile, her strength, intelligence, and her Islamic character remain in our hearts.
 My name is Tahseen Shareef,  I was not only Laila's boss, but I was her friend and through this process of illness followed her medical care at Loma Linda.
Being a phyisician, I was able to communicate with her doctors and her family through  her critical illness.

The funds raised will be given to her family for basic finances as the past two months resulted in her family taking time off work to be by her side. She has a new baby that is now without his mother, who will also need our support. The funds will be hand delivered to the family by 2/1/18 as planned to help them to cover some of their outstanding expenses as soon as possible.

This fund can really alleviate some pressure off the family that has already endured so much with such strength and patience.  So we thank you for your support.

Please do earn the ajar of raising funds for Laila's family. May Allah swt increase your rizq and grant you a place in janna inshallah.

UPDATE- please note that funds were already given to the family due to their urgent need. I will  now be withdrawing the money in my name as I forwarded the money to them.
