Surviving Hurricane-Loveless Family

My name is Dawn Judd & I am 1 of 4 other siblings of Matthew's. We wanted to set this fund up to help him. We feel so helpless being so far away (TN, FL) We thought this might be a good way for for others that love Matt & his family that feel the same way to help them out & reach out our arms all the way to Texas!

Matt lives in Rockport, TX with his wife, Stephanie, daughter Beka, & son, Toby. Their little coastal town of Rockport, TX, was right where hurricane Harvey came ashore and devastated the land. Matt & the girls had evacuated to San Antonio by then, Toby had to stay due to his job. He was right in the middle of it all as a first responder for Rockport. We are so blessed The Good Lord protected him through the worst of it. 

It is still raining and will be for several more days, so this is not over yet. 

Matt and family will not be able to get into the neighborhood where his house is until Friday, AND they already know the house (if it is liveable) won't have power for 3 more weeks. No one has been able to see if their house is still there or what condition it is in. We are praying daily it survived & they can move back in. At minimum they will need to buy things to be able to cook outside. Their house is off the ground 18 feet, so it had a good chance to survive the water, but not the winds, or flood surge. 

This family NEEDS help! Their plan right now is to sleep at Matt's office in Corpus Christi, till they can either go home or figure out something else. That's 3 adults & a teenager living in Matt's work office. 

Any amount you can give will help them! Last I heard they were down to their last $50. Once a donation is made, Matt will be able to go into this GoFundMe acct & withdraw the funds to use as needed.

Only Matt will have access to the funds donated. So you can rest assured they will be used for the purpose they are meant for. I set the GoFundMe account up, but set him up as the one authorized to pull money out of the account.
Matt posted the following statement on Facebook on 8/27 "Any money donated that we do not use will go to local charities and organizations helping with the cleanup."
