"Laughter does good like a medicine"...aaannd THAT is the sole purpose of LAUGH ANYWAY.
Imagine a show, that for the purpose of helping those who watch, mixes comedy, testimonies and organizations/companies that want to use their skills to help those in need.
Each show starts out with (pre-recorded) live footage of me doing stand up comedy in a club. The final punchline drives home a positive life principle. The camera shows audience from stage perspective and zooms into one person each episode.
Show now highlights that person as I interview them privately and they share their story. From a mom who lost everything due to drug addiction and has overcome through recovery, thus giving her kids a mom, husband a wife and family...to a family struggling financially due to their home being demolished by a Tornado yet they consider themselves rich because they still have eachother.
Each show ends up wih a company owner or specialist being moved by their story of choosing to LAUGH ANYWAY through their hard times. These specialists range from one of the worlds most credible Prosthodontists performing a complete teeth reconstruction to companies rebuilding the home lost bigger and better.
People overcome struggles by hearing that others have made it through.. That is what this show is all about. Helping remind people to LAUGH ANYWAY.
I need your help to fund the production of this project.
It is important to me to produce it personally rather than just hand it to a network. I feel like it is my responsability to carry this thing through to completion. If money is the only hurdle, than I will open it up to my friends to help me do this and feel confident that my track record working with people will be the foundation of security that they need to jump on board.
It is time our entertainment goes beyond the punchline.
