Kyle was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) in December of 2017.
He began chemotherapy at CCMC on December 13. It is going to be a long road for Kyle. He is going to most likely have a type of amputation called a rotationplasty surgery on March 1. When he heals from that surgery, he will have a prosthetic leg that he will learn to walk again with. He will then receive more prosthetic legs as he grows and relearns to run. Insurance only covers one walking prosthetic leg a year. Kyle would like to have another leg that he can play sports with as well.
If all goes well with Kyle's treatments, we hope that he will be finished with chemotherapy in July.
