Thank you for stopping by our page, Kristen’s Fight! We are raising money for Kristen Quintero to help her family with her medical and treatment expenses.
After experiencing pain in her side several times in the last few months, Kristen’s husband Joe encouraged her to visit her primary care physician to get things checked out. After some initial testing she was diagnosed with what they thought was a bleeding ulcer and she was scheduled for a colonoscopy. While preparing for her colonoscopy over Valentine's weekend drinking the prescribed “colonoscopy cocktail”, she became violently ill and was sent immediately to the hospital.
On Monday, February 16th Kristen was given devastating news - she has Stage 4 Colon cancer and that the cancer had spread to her liver and lungs. She had surgery on Wednesday the 18th to remove 12 inches of her intestines and will now have to undergo Chemo to treat her liver and lungs.
We know that she will win this fight. While she is fighting for her life, the last thing her family needs to stress about is how to pay for treatment – which is where this page comes in. Kristen is a wonderful friend, daughter, sister and wife – but her most important role is mother. She’s an amazing momma to 3 year old Joshua and her stepchildren Emily, Nick and Kylie.
