HELP ! They’re going to push us away!

Hi, I’m Bert, a Brolga, my family and my dearest friends, including Freckled ducks, Plumed egret, Broad-shelled turtles, Macquarie perch, Murray cod, Trout cod, Freshwater catfish, Sloane froglets and Platypus are all “endangered” and will be driven out of our precious backwater and wetlands adjacent to the Goulburn River. We see the occasional kayaker in our waterway which was created when the humans built the Goulburn Weir about 130 years ago and we are surrounded by River Redgums and farmland, 5km from the township of Nagambie.

Sadly, a corporation of humans wants to make money and has a plan to develop a “leisure park” with lots of cabins and camper sites and human “toys”. The human mob will bring their jet skis, speed boats, noise, street lighting and pollution that will ruin our habitat.

Even though “Henry” our local pelican is smart, together we can’t pay for experts to represent us at VCAT - we need your help. Please save us!
