Let's get Kirk some (better) wheels!

Donation protected
Hey hey this is Avery Sharpe on behalf of the Sharpe-Johnson Family, and thank you for taking the time to read this particularly if you've been with us since the beginning.  It's been two years since Kirk (Dad) had his debilitating brain hemorrhage, and it's been two years of God providing proverbial Manna from Heaven. We can't express  how much everyone's love and support has meant to us as we've tried to navigate the tough terrain of life right now, and we humbly come to you again asking for a little help to alleviate some of the stress.

On a bright note, Dad has come a long way from two years ago so we truly do have a lot to celebrate as a family (especially after the unique hardships of this last year). Dad's metabolism is some semblance of normal. His blood pressure and blood sugar are finally in a good range. He's fully aware and present mentally. In fact, he'll even laugh at jokes if it is deemed worthy (see a failed joke attempt below lol). However, we've all been through a really unbelievable year, and that's been especially true for Julia (Mom) who has had to be Dad's primary caretaker on top of navigating the pandemic, and she has done an exceptional job even if it came at the expense of her own health (which it has at times).

As an ongoing part of his mental and physical rehabilitation, it is recommended that Dad gets out of the house as much a possible, but because of his perpetual paralysis, this can be a daunting and demoralizing task to transfer him from his wheelchair to the car, especially for Mom who has had to be the main person getting him out and about. Now more than ever, the price tag of any vehicle is way out of our range so we hope that you would be so generous as to help us purchase a wheelchair-accessible van to help dramatically improve the overall mental and physical toll of the entire family, but particularly Mom and Dad's.

We pray that God would move you to donate any amount you'd be willing to give, but most of all, your active prayers would be appreciated beyond expression. Thank you for your time and consideration. Much love!

P.S. Here's Dad being completely over our shenanigans. Enjoy and God bless!
