Christmas eve I went to the emergency room for excessive bleeding. They let me know the bad news I had a mass located on my cervix and will need a biopsy.
December 29th, I got the call letting me know my worst nightmare happened. I had been diagnosed with Stage 1b2 Cervical Cancer.
The news just became more heart breaking as we discussed my treatment plan. My tumor is too large for a simple surgical procedure I would need to go through Chemotherapy and Multiple doses of external and internal radiation.
The Doctor explained to me that the treatment would destroy my reproductive system and take away my chances of ever conceiving a child of my own. My entire life all I have wanted was to be a mom I felt like I lost everything.
Good news was we did catch the cancer earlier enough to where I could harvest and save my eggs. I didn’t lose all hope of being a mommy to a little Kimmy!!! To me this procedure was everything, it was the hope I needed to beat this.
Unfortunately, the insurance company did not view this procedures as life or death and have denied this claim. On top of that my medical bills continues to get higher and higher. I still have many rounds of treatment to go through before beating this.
I have never been one to ask for help I always prefer to help others. But I am struggling and very concerned this will bankrupt my future. All and anything is beyond appreciated. Thank you so much to everyone who may contribute.
