Kim Chase-Fischer Fundraiser

As some of you may have heard, on July 5th, 2014 Kimberly was admitted to the hospital for abdominal pain and distention. On July 15th she underwent explorative surgery to identify a narrowing in her colon. It was at that time identified that she has malignant tumors throughout her abdominal region. These tumors caused the narrowing in her colon, which required part of it to be removed.  Kimberly was diagnosed with Neuroendocrine tumors (NET).  She has been undergoing treatment since then by receiving shots to prevent the cancer from growing and having scans to check the progress.  The cancer has grown slightly in some areas and stayed the same in others.  Her doctor gave her the option of starting chemo.   During the same time her son, Steven, through a coworker received word of an experimental treatment of taking drops of concentrated hemp oil twice a day for 90 days.  Her daughter’s tumors were reduced to half their size.  Her daughter had the remaining tumors removed through surgery and is now in remission.  Kimberly along with the support of her husband Eric and her doctor has decided that for the next 90 days she is going to try this experimental treatment instead of chemo.   This treatment is of course not covered by insurance.   She needs 60 ounces of this hemp oil and it costs $70 per ounce.  I am hoping we "those that know and love her" can come together and raise the money for this treatment.  If we just get 120 people to donate $35 each that will raise the funds needed.   What is $35 really?   I know that many of us spend that on gourmet coffee in a week.  So please consider giving up your coffee for a week and donate to this cause.   Let's show Kimberly what we can do!
