Kika's Journey to Walk

Donation protected
Kika was found tied with an electrical cord to a fan in a backyard unable to walk.  Animales Atenas, the local rescue group was alerted to her condition and immediately removed her from this horrid life.  She was full of parasites and unable to walk.  Her parasite issues have been resolved, however Kika is still unable to walk. She has been diagnosed with a congenital deformity of her spine, called antantoaxial subluxation.  Unless Kika receives surgery her neurological symptoms willl worsen, and she will most likey die.  The good news is that surgery will most likely halt the progession of Kika's symptoms and should allow her to regain the function of her legs, and that's where you can help.  The cost of the surgery should be about $3500, we already have $500 pledged from our community members.  Normally the surgery would be much more expensive, but the surgeon, and two vets have donated a portion of their ususal charges to save Kika.  If you know me, you know my love for animals, and chances are pretty good if you are reading this you love animals too!  Please help us help Kika get her surgery and find her forever home.  There are more photos on my Facebook page of "Kika's Journey"  Thanks!
