STUPID BOOBS.
April 22nd is the birthday of one of the most important men in my life....my Dad. It is also the day I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Four days later I found out my cancer is stage four. It has spread to my bones, but thankfully it has not taken up residence in any of my vital organs.
Cancer is for old people! I fully expected to encounter cancer... but when I was 78, not 38!! I have tons of shit I still want to do..I'm not ready to go yet. I'm sure you can imagine both the quality and quantity of thoughts that my brain was trying to process at that moment.
Anyhow, I won't include all the gory details of my two minute mental breakdown. I've included a link to my Caring Bridge site just in case you happen to be one people who enjoy the details (I know I do).
It's been a tough year..so I am hoping to raise some money to help meet my deductible. THANK GOD I have medical insurance.
