Today, Kelsey N. Burnette has finally been released to her parents, David and Virginia (Sissy) Burnette.
A funeral/memorial service for Kelsey to honor her will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Companion Funeral Home from 2-3 with services starting at 3. The funeral home is located at 400 South White Street in Athens, TN 37303.
By now, most know that Kelsey was murdered either on Friday, June 30th sometime after 5PM or Saturday, July 1st. Her body was reported missing on July 1st around Noon and later found on July 4th. To this day, we still do NOT have answers.
I am asking everyone to please pray for the family, her friends, co-workers and the community. Also, if you find it in your heart to DONATE financially to help Kelsey's parents during this tragedy, it will be very much appreciated. Kelsey's mom has not been able to return to work and I think all of us can understand why.
To whomever or those that murdered my niece, please know we will NOT stop until you have been brought to justice. See, this was a beautiful life that you took upon yourself to MURDER, someone that is loved and precious to us all. We owe it to her to see that you do NOT harm another persons daughter.

Tragically, my niece, Kelsey N. Burnette's (KK) body was found July 4th after being reported missing by her parents on July 1st. She was only 18 yrs. young and had just graduated high school with her entire life in front of her.
