parker's family fund

Through this whole process we have been eternally grateful to everyone for every kind word, every prayer and every bit of love they've sent our way. Thank you! You've given us a great gift that money can't buy. You've shown us that our lives have meaning and we've impacted others positively. We feel truly blessed. parker james needham was due on june 18th 2014. he decided he would like to be here early march 14 th 2014 @ 6pm (he was only 26 weeks old at this point). unfortunately we were not ready financially. we believe his medical bills are all covered to this point under erica's plan and we meet with an advisor monday 3/24. we have been surviving winter check to check, because between me doing snow removal and erica's job, we covered our monthly expenses no problem. the doctors and nurses have said the best thing we can do is be there and hold him as much as possible. we don't know how much to ask for because things could be much much worse. however every little bit will help keep us both with our son as much as possible. parker has quickly become a favorite of the doctor's and nurse's. he had his breathing tube removed the first night and hasn't looked back since! he's been gaining weight. he's been held by mother 3 hours a day and i've been able to hold him about an hour a day. erica is already a wonderful mother and bathing her son in love and care. the glow she has holding parker is the most beautiful thing i've ever seen in my life. as i said things could certainly be worse. i run a seasonal business with a partner (who has a been huge help in handling the business affairs so i can focus on parker) that typically starts up between the 3rd week of april and the 1st week of may. we really thought his timing would be perfect. Well as it turns out it has been perfect for me to be there with my family because I run a seasonal business. erica's boss said her job will be waiting for her when she comes back, everyone has been so great to us. due to the fact that parker did come early, we were told to be basically germaphobes for the next year of his life. we hope you forgive us if you don't get to see him much that 1st year. as soon as he gets the "go ahead" we'll take him on tour :) again we thank you all! i decided to do this because many people have suggested something similar to us so generously and gracefully all throughout the day in private messages. erica and i do not have the proper words to convey the gratitude and love we've been feeling in our hearts. we're truly blessed to have such a wonderful circle of loved ones surrounding us! thank you all!
