As many of you know, our dear friend has been managing her Type 1 Diabetes since her early teens, and will continue to do so her entire life"”quantifying every food and drink choice, testing her blood sugar levels, and dealing with unpredictable ups and downs that are beyond her control.

Kaitlyn recently qualified for a state-of-the-art monitoring system that helps her track and predict her blood sugar levels at 5-minute intervals"”immensely powerful information that can help stabilize her peaks and valleys, and vastly improve her quality of life.
The Less-Than Awesome News
Kaitlyn's new-and-improved monitoring supplies cost more than her rent each month. It's a life-changing investment, but presents a significant financial strain.
What We Can Do
By pledging $5 to $20 a month (as little as $60 a year!) we can significantly offset Kaitlyn's costs, and help lighten the load of this major milestone. That's roughly what you're spending on:
· A month of Netflix
· A week of lattes
· A not-all-that-rowdy weekend at the bar
The ever-gracious Kaitlyn, being who she is, would never ask for this kind of help. We're appealing on her behalf, and plan on offering this gift as a group-effort surprise. Feel free to spread the word at your own discreet discretion. (Please do not share our efforts on Facebook at this time.)
