Meet Kathy. My cousin. To hear a laugh that makes you want to join in was Kathy. That crazy, feisty woman had a cackle that was contagious. She would spend the holidays making the best treats and desserts for her nieces and nephews. She is their beloved “Tafy”! Everyone knew Kathy loved the beach. Beginning with family vacations as a child to later with her own husband and children., everyone knew-Kathy LOVED the beach! Later she married her Navy sweetheart, Jeff, and together they welcomed their three beautiful children; Richard, Isabelle (Izzy) and Gracelyn into the family.
Unfortunately, on January 24, 2018 she was rushed to the hospital with life threatening liver failure. A day she never deserved because Kathy is young and loved by so many. Her single parent husband has always tried to do his best. And now we are heartbroken. The pain of not having Kathy around to chat in cousins, celebrate holidays, laugh with her sisters or hug her babies is unbearable and felt by too many that loved her dearly.
After numerous trips to the hospital, multiple specialists, MRI’s, CT scans, and friends and family coming into the ICU to hold Kathys hand to beg and pray for one more miracle, Kathy returned to God, her beloved Mother and Granny, passing away on March 13, 2018 at 10:47 a.m. She was 34 years old. Her husband is left with a broken heart, 3 small children and burial expenses.
A daughter; granddaughter, niece, sister, cousin, mother, friend and wife gone, but not forgotten.
Kathy is missed.
Kathy is loved.
Our family would appreciate your help with funeral expenses. The immediate need is great. Though all he really wants is Kathy back, her husband, Jeff, having left work 6 months ago to care for Kathy, would be so grateful for your help. Any support is greatly appreciated.
