Hearing Impared Champion Longboarder
Hello everyone :)
We are looking to raise money for Kathryn Hughes, 25 from the Sunshine Coast who is a hearing impaired professional longboard surfer now ranked No. 1 in the WSL Australia/Oceania region of the world, with a world ranking of 13th due to a wildcard to this years World Longboard Championship event in Papua New Guinea earlier this year. Now pre-qualified through great perfomances in qualification events and has now locked a spot in next years World Longboard Championships with her 1st place finish in the region! This is a fantastic achievement also considering (Kathryn is completely void of hearing in one ear and needs a hearing aid in the other) this throws of equilibrium and balance so we have an extremely talented young lady that needs our help!!
Kathryn has now been invited to an invitational event in Malibu USA with only the top tear competitors in the world envying for a spot with the waiting period from 25th September to the 6th October as this has come up so quickly and travel expenses can not be coverered within the time frame from now till the date of the competition.
Kathryn is humbly asking for anyone that could lend a hand to get this talented young lady across the line to follow her dreams. Thank you for hearing her story and hopefully we can get there for her thank you!!!
