# Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir are facing the worst floods in the last 60 years.
# Nearly 1 million people are affected
# More than 300 dead till 12th September and hundreds others unaccounted for.
# Almost 80% of the capital city of Srinagar is inundated in water
# 400,000 people stranded on roof tops waiting to be rescued.
# Like many other hospitals, the only children's hospital in the Srinagar is cut off and completely deserted. 8 babies died here on the first day of the floods.
Although flood levels are going down, the threat of diseases and epidemic looms large with scarce or no drinking water supply.
Our colleagues have travelled to Kashmir from around the World and are working with various charities and the Government bringing aid to the torchered people of Kashmir.
After feedback from On The Ground volunteers we are aiming to provide help for children, who are most vulnerable. We aim to bundle our aid into Packs of Hope. Each Pack will consist of:
1. 5 litres of bottled drinking water
2. 1 tin of baby food
3. 1 tin of powdered baby milk
4. 2 packs of nappies
5. 5 sachets of oral rehydration packs (diarolyte)
Each pack will cost £10 and will provide key assistance to the child's well being for at least 2 weeks.
100% of your available donation will be used to buy and deliver aid to the needy.
These children need help now!!! Please help save a child now by pressing the donate button.
