This is Kamaiah-
She's 21 years old. She is a mother, a daughter, a sister, a best friend, a hard worker, a joker, a girlfriend, and now, she is a lupus warrior as well.
This is Jaylah, Kamaiah's 2 year old pride and joy-
1 week ago, Kamaiah's whole life changed. She went from being a 21 year old working single mother, to being a 21 year old single mother fighting systemic lupus erythematosus and lupus nephritis. We have yet to figure out what stage, but we know that there is a long fight ahead of us. Kamaiah had to quit her job so she can fully focus on getting healthy and winning this battle so she can live a long fabulous life with her baby girl. Anyone who has any experience with lupus knows that this is not going to be cheap and will not be easy. There are a lot of trying times and troubles right now that we're facing. Hospital bills, rent, food and providing for the baby right now are our main concerns.
My goal is to try to ease the financial burden put on Kamaiah and her family so she can fully focus on fighting and beating the lupus beast.
