Kertron Mackey Berklee 5 Week Program

Hello,

my name is Kertron Mackey. I am a 17 year old junior from central high school. It is my pleasure to inform you that as of Friday November 22, 2013 I have been officially accepted into Berklee College of music's 5 week summer performance program and I will be attending said program from July 12 "“August 15, 2014. I will be doing various fundraisers for the next few months in order to be able to afford to go. The trip costs $8,555.00 + transportation there and back + food and concessions. But I believe god put this in my path for a reason and I am willing to do whatever it takes to get there. Here is a list directly from the website that contains the prices and what they will be used for:

How much are the tuition and fees?
· Application fee: $50*
· Registration fee: $35
· Comprehensive fee: $150*
· Total housing cost: $3,375 (Includes nonrefundable $300 housing pre-payment*)
· Total tuition: $4,795 (Includes nonrefundable $500 tuition pre-payment*)
*asterisk indicates nonrefundable fees

As you can see, this trip will cost a hefty sum of money. Some things that were not listed on the website but are to be inferred by us are:
· Transportation There and back which will cost approximately $700.00
· Food and Concessions for 5 weeks which will cost approximately $700.00 as well depending on the cost of the local food in Boston
Attending this program means the world to me and it will make me an improved all around musician as well as give me "Brownie Points" when I apply to attend the school after my graduation in 2015. Any financial assistance whatsoever will be greatly appreciated because it will assist me in reaching my goal for this trip.
