Help us - KILL AL - the film!

Walter who?

I am the writer/director/producer of KILL AL and I am a Sci-Fi geek, just ask my wife. I am a NYC based actor/writer. You may have seen my mug on Madame Secretary, The Americans or Daredevil. I have appeared on stage in way too many plays to list here.

As a writer, this is my first film project, but I have several plays under my belt. I am eyeing 2018 as the year my full-length play "Akuhma Desert" will see a full production.

I am lucky that some really talented people like me. It has allowed me to gather an amazing cast (see website links below) and crew to help me bring KILL AL to life. I hope you will become part of my team.

KILL AL explained!
KILL AL is a 15-minute sci-fi thriller that explores the question - “What constitutes a soul?” In this film, android workers look, act and talk like “real” humans, but are still considered as lifeless as your kitchen toaster.

KILL AL explores how we treat those we deem as “less human.” The android workers are made to be attractive, agreeable and safe for all. They cannot kill or do harm, but this allows some humans to abuse and take advantage of “the weaker” creatures.

In KILL AL we watch as Femtel 216 and Femtel 303 discover their humanity in two different ways. One through abuse while in a work environment. The other through the overwhelming beauty of art. These two characters confront their emerging emotions and struggle with their unjust reality of servitude – all while under the control of those who forbid these discoveries.

This film is especially important in today’s political and global climate. Every day, the news portrays stories of people lashing out against other groups of people. Some are lashing out because they feel victimized while others are lashing out because they see others as “less than” and “less deserving” of basic human rights.

KILL AL is more than a sci-fi film – it’s a story that is dark, deep, funny, eccentric and most of all, entertaining. With your help, we can bring KILL AL to a wider audience.

What will it take to make this happen and how can you help you ask?

In order to make this project a reality, I need to raise $12,000 USD. The cast and crew are in place and shoot locations have been secured. We are ready to get this project off the ground, but the fact remains that there are still lots of things that need to be purchased, acquired and/or rented. There are post-production costs, such as editing, sound design and color correction, to name a few.

All donated funds will go directly to the production of this film. Trust us… robots don’t lie!

My hopes and dreams!

When KILL AL is complete, we hope to submit, travel and show KILL AL at film festivals in the US and abroad. I speak a little German, so how about The Berlin Film Festival? We’d love to be able to showcase this film in as many cities as humanly (or artificial intelligence-ly) possible.

When you show your support, we offer in turn perks and rewards for each level of donation.

If you can't donate you can still assist us by sharing the video and telling all your friends.  Thank you for your support.
