Homeless Women Fund

We often have people come to our community who are working through a valley in their life. During their valley, we help them with friendship, practical help, social activities, training on trauma and healing and one-on-one facilitation to help them work through past and current problems and trauma. We are hoping to start also helping the single women in our community with specific financial requests due to desperate situations that arise. Our goal is to lift immediate, minimal financial burdens so that they can focus on recovering from the trauma that they are working through. Any money that you give would go to one of the following uses: 1.Assistance with rent for a person who is homeless or nearing homelessness and has exhausted all possible housing resources. 2.Assitance with grocery money for someone who is not eating regularly and doesn't have the transportation to regularly visit a soup kitchen or other food donation location. 3.Assistance with communication expenses that allow the person to build a resource network and seek work. Kansas City Healing Community is a non-profit organization established in 2007. We offer free potlucks and group meetings to help people find community and healing.
