Bridge the Gap for Karon Beasley

Donation protected
Karon Beasley - friend, sister, daughter, aunt and more, needs your help.

You may know that Karon was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus and Sjohrens Syndrom years ago.  She has been courageously living, supporting herself, and sharing love as a single woman for 10+ years since her diagnosis.   See more details regarding Karon's illness details later in this note.

Recently Karon has broken both of her feet (in separate incidences).  She is also suffering severe and dibilitating pain in her hand - but has not gone to the doctor due to fears of incurring more medical expenses.  She has faithfully tried to keep up with the continual Lupus care and related medical expenses, but has fallen behind financially.  Medicare covers a portion of medical expense, but not nearly all of it. Karon is unable to pay for additional insurance.

A separate Care Calendar has been set up for meals, household and errand help, etc., but truly one of the greatest needs is financial.  People have asked how they can help - and this is a practical way that would be a blessing to Karon, her parents, and entire family.

Karon continues to praise God through her struggles and has relied on Him for her daily sustenance and peace.  Her faith is a testimony to all of us.

Please feel free to share this with those who may be financially able to contribute. Every dollar helps and will be a blessing and sweet gift to Karon and her family.
Karon suffers from Systemic Lupus, Sjohrens Syndrom both of which require agressive treatment...she has never been in remission. In the last 1-1/2 years, she has had 3 surgeries, 70+ doctor visits and takes 20+ medicines per day. The years of steroids have made her bones brittle.

Despite this debilitating illness, she is always trying to reach out and help others in anyway she can. She was featured in the Lupus National Magazine, People Magazine, local newspapers, on PBS, the 2010 Atlanta Billboard for Walk for Lupus Now.  When able she went to Washington to appeal to the local representatives to appeal for help with Lupus funding. She has spoken to various clubs as an advocate for Lupus awareness and was the lst person to sign up and attend the organizational Georgia Chapter for Lupus...it is now one of the largest chapters in the US and has become the largest Walk for Lupus Now event.

Thank you for considering supporting Karon in this practical way.  Since you are donating directly to an individual, this contribution is not tax deductible, but will be used to offset medical expenses and is incredibly helpful and appreciated.
