Remembering Dawnn Jaffier

At about 8:17 a.m., police responded to the sound of gunshots near Blue Hill Avenue and Charlotte Street, Dawnn Jaffier was taken to the hospital where she was later pronounced dead.We are shocked and saddened that a senseless act of violence took away such a gifted, kind and compassionate young woman.Dawnn knew early on that she would commit her life to helping others and that is exactly what she did. Dawnn was active in Americorps programs, City Year, Playworks, the Hennigan School and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Dawnn was a lover of life who just wanted to dance, smile and have fun.It is impossible to imagine a world without Dawnn. We smile as we think of the many lives she has touched in her short time on earth and we mourn for the people who will miss this opportunity. Please keep her family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this trying time.
