Juno's Miracle
Thank you for visiting Juno's page.
I've set up Juno's Miracle page on behalf of my younger sister whose family
could really use your helping hand. On October 21st, her 4 year old energetic
and beautiful husky "Juno" (JuneBug) was attacked by a wolf near their home in
Lenore, Idaho. Juno was able to escape the attack, but sustained life
threatening injuries. The force fractured and displaced vertebrae in her
neck, leaving her unable to move or recover without a very expensive surgery.
On Sunday afternoon, my sister and
her oldest daughter heard Juno whimpering and after searching for 20 minutes,
found her lying about 100 yards from their home in a field. She was unable to
move her head or body and was in severe pain. My sister, her husband and the
kids rushed her to the vet in the nearest town and were referred to the animal
hospital at Washington State University.
For many of us, our pets are our
best friends, our "˜children' and our happiness. This couldn't be truer than for
my sister who has demonstrated compassion for animals though out her life. She's
rescued countless stray, injured or abused animals. She has courageously
confronted bullies that harm or mistreat their pets. She's provided homes to
dozens of animals that would have been otherwise discarded or killed. She has a
heart the size of Texas and when any animal is hurt, the heartache is enormous.
You can imagine the pain when this time, it's her very own JuneBug that's in
dire need.
The surgery is estimated to cost several thousand dollars. We're hoping to raise $3,000. My
sister and her husband just welcomed a new baby in August, adding to their
family of two school aged children and are a single income home. Juno's first
miracle was surviving a wolf attack. Please help her with a second miracle by
donating to make her spinal surgery possible so that she can recover from these
severe injuries and come home to complete their family. My sister overflows
with kindness and caring, it's our turn to give a little back to her. Anything
you can contribute would be forever appreciated.
