Juan Carlos Memorial Fund

I am trying to raise money for my birth mother who just lost her husband today to advanced cancer.  He was a wonderful man who provided enormous stability to his family economically and emotionally.  This loss is very devastating to my birth family. They live on a small, poor island in Chile .  For the last 6 months my birth mother has had very limited income because she was his main caretaker.  With the funeral costs and lost wages this is financially and emotionally devastating.   I am hoping to raise some money to help ease the financial stress during this time. 

Juan Carlos was an amazing father to my two half sisters, Fran and Carla as well as me when I visited them. Although I don't share his blood, from the moment I met him he accepted me as his third daughter with open arms.  I am incredibly grateful to Juan Carlos because he met my birth mother during a very difficult time in her life and guided her through the darkness. 

He was a very hard worker on an island with very limited opportunity.  When I met him he was a tenant farmer and when he lost his job he worked as a construction worker up until last year when he discovered he had cancer in 3 organs.  He passed away this morning at the age of 62.  I am really grateful for any amount that you want to give.  Thank you so much- I really appreciate it.
