The cancer was aggressive and passed into his lungs, his bones, and his spine. Upon learning of this, his first thought was his unborn granddaughters nearing birth. He passed before he was able to hold her. He also leaves behind two wonderful grandsons that were more like his best friends.
Within a time frame of five weeks; after a chain of tests, scans, and endless waiting, the doctors drew up a plan. An extremely aggressive two day Chemo Session that improved his appetite and spirits. He was able to drink again, something he struggled greatly with leading up to his hospital admission. The health improvements were short lived. With the cancer unharmed, his body was left even more fragile.
We had two days to say goodbye. Family from near and far came to support each other and hold this wonderful man. He held out on pain meds in fear it would put him to sleep and he would miss a chance to see everyone. Upon persistence of his loved ones he finally complied realizing he had suffered enough. In his final moments he was surrounded by his wife and two sons. He drew his last few breaths and passed peacefully on

Our family needs your help to pay hospital bills and help settle my dad's finances until we can figure out what steps we need to take and how to proceed forward without this loving man in our lives.
Whatever assistance you can offer is greatly appreciated and we thank you for all your support.
