Nurse Josie's rare cancer battle

We want to tell you about our beloved Josie. Josie is a registered nurse, and devoted wife and mother. Two years ago, Josie was diagnosed with a rare form of nasopharyngeal cancer. Josie fought that horrific cancer which prevented her from at times even eating or swallowing water. She survived that brutal diagnosis and went into remission.
After1 year of being in remission, we have just learned that this horrible cancer has returned and is now in her spine. True to character, Josie was coming to work, lovingly and selflessly caring for her patients with little to no mention of the terrible pain she was experiencing. We later found out that the tumors had fractured her vertebrae. She worked as recently as Mothers Day without calling in sick. Not one patient would have known the battle she is fighting as a smile never left her face. That's our Josie.
Two days after Mother's Day, Josie was told by her oncologist that nothing could be done to eradicate this new set of tumors and that comfort care is the only thing that could be offered at this time. She has been given the option to have chemo and radiation with little to no expectation for remission.
Josie has has a beautiful 19 year old daughter who is attending college and adorable 5 year old twins. Her devoted husband is by her side and devastated by his fear of losing the love of his life. Her husband works in construction and due to this recession, work is not consistent. Josie is the primary source of stable income.
Josie wanted to continue working as a labor and delivery RN, but was advised against it due to the spinal fractures. With the cost of treatment as well as household expenses, we are looking to raise as much money as we can to ease the burden and allow Josie to fight this battle without financial concern.
She has so selflessly given of herself to countless patients and families. She has touched many lives with her compassionate and selfless care.
