WE’RE HEADED TO MEMPHIS!!!!

Jordan A. James and Serious Trouble has been selected as the Youth Showcase Band, representing the Blues Society of WNY, at the 2018 International Blues Challenge, held by the Blues Foundation in Memphis, TN January 16 – January 20, 2018.

We are a four-piece blues band, featuring Jordan Hirsch (17) on vocals/lead guitar, Armani Works (17) on keys, Jackson Edwards (17) on bass, and Isaiah Gethers (16) on drums.  Jordan A. James and Serious Trouble was formed in 2015, and has had some great opportunities, playing at the Buffalo Niagara Blues Festival, and various other local clubs and functions like the Sportsman's Tavern.  The magic of the blues is how different people can take the same core ideas but create completely new and different things.   Fortunately, we have grown up in WNY surrounded by an abundance of music talent and currently attend the Buffalo Academy of Visual and Performing Arts High School where we work to grow our talent through the support of the staff and fellow students.

We’re grateful for this opportunity and recognition to represent the Blues Society of WNY at the 2018 International Blues Challenge where over 250 Blues acts compete supported by over 3000 Blues fans each year!  

Now the work begins to raise the funds to make it happen!  The money we raise with your help, will be used to cover our basic costs for travel and hotel for the week, and bring us one step closer to achieving our dream to play the Blues on Beale St. in Memphis, TN among the greats.
