Support for Jonathan and Robyn

December 2017
Jonathan passed peacefully early this morning surrounded by love in the place he most wanted to be.

Thank you to all who so graciously stood by our side during these most difficult years. I stand firm in my gratitude for all the time spent together and while we endured great despair in the face of illness, we also shared an abundance of love, joy and laughter. We allowed this very human experience to humble and bring us closer. Our love and admiration for one another grew to enormous depths and continues to grow still. Despite my heart breaking in missing him so, I feel the spirit of my love all around, for which I am most grateful. Although you may feel pain in the face of loss, I request you do not express sadness - rather take time to hold our strong connection in your heart and rejoice in gratitude that a love as beautiful as ours existed in this wild and haunting world.

Jonathan's life celebration will take place this Saturday at 11 a.m. in Conyers. More information will be posted soon regarding this so please check back. All are welcome to attend. Please do not send flowers, but loose wildflowers are welcome to the ceremony. If you'd like to show your support in another way, please consider donating to this GoFundMe.

July 2017

Jonathan and Robyn have a love and dedication to each other that has stood the test of time. When they vowed to each other through sickness and in health, neither truly knew the tough challenges they would soon face.

Since Jonathan's diagnosis with Stage IV lung cancer at only the age of 27 in 2013, they've managed to live a life as close to normal as they possibly can. This year has brought some highs and devastating lows. The good news is that Robyn graduated top in her class as Excelsus Laureate at SCAD, receiving her masters degree in film. A big dream of theirs was being able to share in all of the graduation activities together this summer. We are happy to report that this dream was realized.

The sad news is that Jon has taken a turn this year, with the cancer now spreading in his brain. In April of this year Jon and Robyn made the mutual decision to stop the chemotherapy he was on, as the side effects far outweighed the benefits, which were becoming few and far between. After getting off chemo, Jon's brain function, speech and mobility improved. However in recent weeks there have been signs of a decline and he can no longer be left alone. Robyn is unable to bear the burden of the additional expenses.

If you can help at this time with a contribution, we know Jon and Robyn would be forever grateful.
