Hello friends,
This is Vorno ( and Lucca's) moms' - Arlene and Suzy,
Our 3 year old pup, Vorno was recently diagnosed with a liver shunt, as described medically in the above link from the hospital he is scheduled for surgery in the coming weeks. In simple terms, he has a blockage in an artery preventing proper blood flow to his liver and making it impossible for his liver to remove harmful toxins.
Some dogs, do not require surgery and can manage this condition on medications and diet. Sadly our Vorno is not so lucky. His blockage is nearly completly restricted and gone untreated will be an extreme danger to his health and eventually his life.
Surgically treated and he will fair well and live a happy and healthy life (after a bit of recovery) barring any complications. We are in excellent hands with these specialists, who say they have not quite seen liver levels quite as high as Vorno's.
The estimated cost of $7,000 covers his surgery, his hospital stay, anesthesia, medications and post op treatment. This is something we simply can not afford at this time. After just opening a business and still compromised by endless medical expenses from a human knee operation, we are simply financially unprepared for this situation.
Some friends have asked how they can help. So quite humbly and respectively we have set up this
Go Fund Me account for our boy Vorno.
As many of you know our two Maltese our are children. Both Lucca and Vorno are the reason for our new business, The Pup Club Boutique, the reason we take vacations to the Cape, the reason for everything.
Our gratitude would be unwavering for any amount you may be able to share to help Vorno. Good vibes and prayers sent our way are equally appreciated.
With love,
Arlene, Suzy, Lucca and of course Vorno
