John's Acupuncture Practice Startup

Hello Everyone, The past 5 years of my studies at The Institute for Taoist Education and Acupuncture, study has taught me an immeasurably valuable and powerful tool which can can help support people to manifest the best of what they are intrinsicly for both themselves, future generations and for the health of our planet. The culmination of all the learning, studying, and practicing has prepared me to offer this healing art to those who want and need it.
While in school I also started a family, which has been enriched by my studies and enriches them continually. At this point, in the formative years of growing a family and beginning an acupuncture practice, I am turning to my community of friends and family to support me financially. I feel this is a way to connect with all of you before I even start this endeavor, a way to feel supported and connected with everyone. Having my practice begin with the sense that there is a piece of my community of friends and loved ones in that space is an extremely powerful and special way to begin.
Your generosity would allow me the time to build a client base by paying the first three months of office rent. I am renting the office from a friend and colleague, Johanna Alper at  The Crossroads Gardens building at 1800 30th Street. This also happens to be the space my primary mentor used when she was beginning her practice; this feels auspicious and encouraging. Some of the needs I have to start my practice and set my space up well are an air purifier for all the moxa I will be burning, (moxa is the herb, atremesia, which is burned in nearly all treatments), a supply of needles, a website, sheets for the treatment table and simple furnishings (chairs, a side table and a couple of lamps).
I started renting my office space in December, and have not been able to start my practice as I am waiting for my Acupuncture license to be issued by the State. I am hoping in next weeks my license will arrive. I would love to have the funds as soon as possible so that I can open shop just as soon as it is legal for me to do so. Asking for support feels a little difficult and also very sweet. Thank you all for all of your support, it is appreciated beyond words. Love.
