Help John “Jay” Rider’s Family
Donation protected
The Rider/Lewis families have suffered a great loss.
On March 14, 2018, John “Jay” Rider was hit by a car near Pensacola, Florida while riding his bike home from work. He died instantly leaving behind his wife, Jamie (Lowe) and two young sons - Keaghan, age 7 and Deklan, age 4. He was also the beloved son of Terre Lewis of Elverson, Pennsylvania.
Jay attended Twin Valley High School. He served in the United States Navy for four years and was deployed to both Afghanistan and Somalia.
Having recently moved from Pottstown, Pennsylvania to Pensacola, Florida, Jay was working two jobs to support this young family. Since the accident, Jamie and the children are temporarily living with her sister, Jessica Sitter and family, until she can obtain employment and affordable housing.
In a matter of seconds this family’s life has been changed forever. Jamie lost her husband, Keaghan and Deklan lost their daddy and Terre Lewis lost her only child.
How do you put a price on losing a husband and father? How much does it cost to raise two small children, pay bills and run a household? I don’t have these answers, and I’m sure Jamie doesn’t either. Your donations will be used to pay for living expenses and help this young family get back on their feet.
Terre Lewis is my sister; Jay - my nephew; and his family (Jamie, Keaghan and Deklan) - part of my family. Jamie's sister, Jessica Sitter, will handle all disbursements from this fund to help Jamie, Keaghan and Deklan begin a new chapter in their life without daddy.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
God bless.
Note: Every day 9 people die in the U.S. because of distracted driving. It's a growing epidemic...and it is entirely preventable. Be the solution - not a statistic. Pledge to be the change. For more information and to take the pledge go to: https://www.dmv.org/distracted-driving.php
