Joey's Family & Friends are uniting to raise money to help with Joey's medical and living expenses while she is treated for Colon Cancer.
Joey is, hands down, one of the fiercest friends and strongest individuals anyone could ever have the pleasure to know. She is independent, creative, brave, generous, hard-working, driven, and remarkably and uniquely funny in multiple languages with a whole lot of positive attitude and sass. Let's show our girl just how much we love and support her by pitching in to help out with her ridiculous expenses as she fights back against cancer (and wins)!
On Friday, June 20th, 2014, our dear Joey Harmon received an initial diagnosis of invasive colon adenocarcinoma and has since learned that the cancer has metastasized to her liver. Her treatment plan is now in place, including 8 weeks of chemotherapy followed by, potentially, 2 more rounds of chemo and multiple surgeries to remove the tumors. While her diagnosis is scary and overwhelming, Joey remains in good spirits and is seeking the positive support and love of her family and friends.
We set up this fundraiser to help raise money to cover the overwhelming expenses that come from this diagnosis. Those expenses include a large deductible, most of which is due at the end of July. Joey is also moving on the 20th of July, and some of the money raised will go towards her moving expenses and storage. She is going to miss a lot of work due to chemo treatments and time off for recovery post-surgeries so the rest will go towards covering her living expenses.
Our goal in creating this page is to help ease Joey's financial burden as much as possible so she can focus 100% on her recovery & BEATING CANCER! Any & all support is appreciated! Whether it is a dollar, $10, $20 or $100, your donation will bring us closer to achieving this goal.
