Joanne & Daniel's Honeymoon & Cause

Dear Family and Friends,
When I first met Joanne I fell in love with her and her smile, our conversations, and most of all our friendship. Although, after we met we lost touch because neither of us were ready for a relationship. However, we reconnected a year later. I lived in Florida for a time, so we dated via-Skype. We would speak for hours on end, and sometimes fell asleep with our laptops. I traveled to NYC to see her, and to gain approval from Kassandra, her daughter, because without Kassy’s approval our wedding may not have come to fruition.
When I returned to NYC Jojo and I dated, and then got engaged a year later. After 7 years together, and engaged 6 years, Joanne and I are getting married! Thank God!!!
Joanne is a recent graduate and now a Certified Mental Health Counselor, and a Bereavement Counselor at Calvary Hospital. She has a great big heart, and her work is an extension of that and of who she is personally.
I am a future public interest attorney in the making, and will attend law school this fall. I advocate for various causes and lobby Congress for those causes as well.
However, there is one cause in particular that affects us both because it exists in people we know dearly, from family and friends, to neighbors and colleagues. Autism Spectrum Disorder. To learn more about autism click here.
Given Joanne’s profession, my current volunteerism and future legal aspirations to serve the public interest, she and I would like to support Autism Speaks . Autism Speaks is an accredited charity organization dedicated to finding solutions across the spectrum, advocacy and more. Click here to find out more about Autism Speaks.
Therefore, in place of a wedding registry and gift, we humbly ask that you donate to our wedding instead. Your donation will go towards our honeymoon, and all surplus funds will go to Autism Speaks on your behalf.
We covered the cost of the wedding, but would also like a honeymoon too, and still be able to give to the cause. As such, we ask for your support for this endeaver and we pledge to give the surplus amount received to Autism Speaks . Our overall goal to reach is $7000, which is $3500 for our honeymoon and $3500 for the cause.
We are extremely grateful and humbled for your support for us, and the cause.
