Kidney Transplant for Jimmy Bowman

My Dad needs a kidney transplant.  He was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease called IgA Nephropathy 3 years ago that has affected both of his kidneys, leaving him with just 6% kidney function.  Although he's been fighting like a champ, the time for a new kidney has come.  

The good news is that people can lead full healthy lives with just one kidney and I have decided to be a living donor for my Dad.   Although all of my expenses are covered, he will be left with  medical expenses not covered by insurance as well living expenses associated with his temporary relocation to NYC (a total of roughly 20-25k).

Our hope is that we can raise a portion of the medical and living expenses associated with this transplant, so we can schedule the surgery for early January 2018.
