Hi. My name is Jim, a Vietnam-era veteran and a musician (drummer). I am a father of three; two grown and married, and one in college and have a wonderful wife who loves me unconditionally. I am blessed.
On October 2, 2017 I am going to have life-saving surgery at Universty of California at San Francisco. The surgery will repair a large complex aneurysm in my abdominal arota (the artery that supplies blood to my adbominal organs and lower body). Without the surgery, my aorta could burst and most likely would result in death. (This is what killed John Ritter and Alan Thicke.)
The reason I am reaching out to you for donations is to (hopefully) offset some of the expenses of traveling to and staying in the San Francisco area for at least a month, my wife being away from work for the month, and to help with some of the non-covered medical bills. Since the surgery is experimental, insurance will not cover everything. And lodging in the City is very costly. With your help, my wife and I will be able to focus on my recovery and not stress about money.
If you have suggestions for lodging, can offer a room for my wife while I am in the hospital, that would also help. And if you can offer prayer, that is more than welcome as well.
