Future CEO takes Africa by Storm

My name is Ji'Brayah Marson-Young and I am a senior Marketing major at the University of West Georgia (UWG) in Carrollton, GA.  Throughout my academic career, I have had the opportunity to serve on many leadership boards including VP of Youth NAACP, Office of Admissions Ambassador and currently a Business Ambassador for the 2017-2018 school year.  [LinkedIn]

I have been accepted into the South Africa Study Abroad Program sponsored by the University’s International Business Management Department.  This program exposes participants in critical dimensions of management to an international business environment. I will be completing 6 credit hours in marketing and management during my study abroad.

I am asking that you please support me by contributing to my GoFundMe account.  

How does a semester in Africa contribute to my degree?
Participating in this program will provide me the opportunity to expand my knowledge of and perspective on international business.  I will also learn more about global marketing and business communication while earning credits.  I plan to share my experiences with other students and the young people I currently mentor.

What is the goal and deadline?
I am seeking to raise $5,000 dollars by January 15th, 2018!  Your contributions will assist me in my travels and will go a long way in supporting my education.  You will not be disappointed! I am and will be forever grateful for your contributions and will continue to pay it forward.

Why Should I donate?
I am passionate about Community Service!  I co-founded a non-profit organization in the Atlanta area called Ydennek Girls .  Ydennek Girls serves and guides young ladies on how to be Women of C.L.A.S.S. Character, Leadership, Academics, Scholarship, Service.  I look forward to sharing my traveling experiences with these future leaders and showing them by example that any and everything is possible.

How Am I contributing to my trip?
I am experienced in digital marketing and willing to work towards my donations.  I create flyers, web sites, business plans and can provide residential cleaning.  I have applied for several scholarships as well as saving a portion of my income from my internship at Southwire Company in Carrollton, GA.

I am excited and truly looking forward to spending my Spring Break enjoying this once in a lifetime experience to study abroad with the opportunity to learn the international aspects of business and marketing in Cape Town, South Africa.  I hope to share these great experiences with other students as well as expand my knowledge, continue my education and broaden my horizons.
